Abstract:
A ±800kV UHV transmission line belongs to a special transmission channel. The actual icing thickness of the transmission line exceeds the original design standard. To ensure the safety of the special power transmission channel and the stable operation of the power grid, it is necessary to conduct an anti-icing risk capability verification for the transmission line. After verification, except for the accident condition and uneven icing condition that cause the bearing capacity of some main materials and diagonal members of the iron tower to exceed their limits, all the other conditions meet the original design requirements and possess a certain degree of anti-icing capability. Additionally, due to the ice-shedding tension far exceeding the original design value, the uneven icing condition cause the utilization of some cross diagonal members and cross arm diagonal members of the transmission tower body. By partially replacing the transmission tower body and cross arms members that can't meet the bearing capacity requirements, the transmission iron tower can meet the actual icing bearing capacity requirements and anti-icing risk.
