Abstract:
As an important equipment of HVDC converter station, the optimization design of voltage balance ring is the key to realize the uniform distribution of electric field on the insulator surface in DC high potential field. A twodimensional axisymmetric simulation model of the electrostatic field of a hanging insulator is established by using COMSOL multi-physical field simulation, the objective function is the sum of the maximum values of the Z-axis tangential electric field strength of the insulators in the high voltage field, and the optimization objective is the minimum value of the objective function, the uniformity of electric potential and electric field intensity distribution and the maximum insulation safety margin of the suspension insulator with or without voltage equalization ring are analyzed.
